About Me

I'm a broadcaster with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in broadcasting.

I grew up shooting and creating videos and photos on my families camera and computer. This interest continued in high school by taking classes in digital media that taught me how to use DSLR cameras and Adobe programs.

In Fall of 2022 I was introduced to broadcasting as a career.

Since then I have been a camera operator, technical director, and assistant producer, and have directed multiple shows with Whee-TV: Catamount Entertainment a student-led broadcasting organization at Western Carolina University (WCU). I have interned at WSQL Radio programming music, updating WSQL's website, and recording PSA's. I've had the opportunity to work with Western Carolina University Athletic Video Operation where I help film WCU sports events with ESPN +. I've also taken continued my photography by taken photos of landscape as well as done commercial photography for WCU Philosophy and Religion Department website and displays and for Whee -TV: Catamount Entertainment. I also have made advertisements for the Philosophy and Religion Department.

One of the many things I've enjoyed about broadcasting is the problem-solving aspect. Finding new solutions to issues within the TV studio has. My passion for problem solving and creativity has led me to my current position as the live Morning Videographer with WLUC TV6 FOXUP in Negaunee Michigan filming both the morning live shots for the Morning News as well as their lifestyle show Upper Michigan Today. I also produce VOSOT and web articles for the evening news.

My goal is to work with live video, music, and shows. I love the process that goes into setting up a show before it goes on air and the thrill of just filming live on air.
